Introduction

Welcome to GaugeMaster Pro!

If you have ever created a radial gauge with any generic drawing app before, you are about to have a lot of fun using GaugeMaster Pro.

GaugeMaster Pro was designed from the ground up to make radial gauge design simple but flexible at the same time. By taking advantage of gauges’ common design patterns and providing tools built specfically for this purpose, it is the quickest and most practical way to design analog radial gauges.

GaugeMaster Pro belongs to a family of apps to build gauges with over a decade of history. The original GaugeMaster iPad app was created from the need to design some simulator gauges. When trying to recreate this with common generic vector graphics apps it was clear it would take quite a bit of effort, and further changes would be time-consuming. It was also clear that these type of designs had well-defined patterns that could be used on dedicated tools, to make them much easier and quicker to create and update.

The original GaugeMaster app was made for iPad as it felt quite natural to design radial elements with your fingertips. As time went by and demand for a desktop app grew stronger, a Mac app was created. Eventually, it became clear there was a growing interest from a variety of desktop users, so the new GaugeMaster Pro web app was developed to cover all platforms.

The new GaugeMaster Pro app was written from scratch, improving on a lot of lessons learned from the previous apps. A lot of thinking went into the architecture of the new app. It had to be future-proof, multi-platform and fast enough to handle real time graphics needed for gauge design.

Regrettably, web apps have to deal with web browser technology discrepancies between different browsers and operating systems. To this day, only Chrome supports all of the features required by this app, but since the Windows Edge browser is based on Chromium (Chrome’s core technology) this will generally work fine as well.

You can try GagueMaster Pro for free on the JohnCode Solutions Ltd web site.

The trial allows you to use most of the tools and gives you access to a few sample gauges, to help you get started quickly.

If you enjoy the app and want to enable all the tools and options please check the Login & Subscription section.

GaugeMaster Pro will save and load gauge files in its own proprietary file format with filename extension .gmpro.

If you need to share gauges with other editing apps for extra touches check the Print and Export Gauges page.

If you have used any of the old GaugeMaster apps for iPad or Mac and want to transition to the new GaugeMaster Pro, please see the FAQ page for details on differences between the apps.

If you purchased any license or subscription on the old apps, please reach out to support for a discount coupon to ease your transition to the GaugeMaster Pro web app.
