Size Presets
Section titled “Size Presets”The new Size section lets you set the physical size of your gauge from the very start of your design.
The Size selector offers Free, Custom, and the industry-standard gauge diameters (EN 837 / ASME standard sizes):
- 40 mm / 1.5”
- 50 mm / 2”
- 63 mm / 2.5”
- 80 mm / 3”
- 90 mm / 3.5”
- 100 mm / 4”
- 115 mm / 4.5”
- 127 mm / 5”
- 150 mm / 6”
- 160 mm / 6.3”
- 200 mm / 8”
- 250 mm / 10”
- 300 mm / 12”
Choosing Custom reveals a Diameter field where you can enter any physical diameter.
When a size preset is set, the app draws a high-contrast dashed reference ring at true physical size on the canvas, and shows the diameter in the gauge frame header. The dashed ring stays readable over both light and dark dial backgrounds.
The Size selector becomes read-only once the gauge has layers, so the reference cannot shift accidentally mid-design. The reference ring already shows the fixed size, so there is no separate lock indicator.
Position
Section titled “Position”The Position section has two new groups of settings:
- Scale scales the whole gauge, from 0.1 to 10. It is disabled while a size preset is active, as the preset owns the physical size.
- Center X and Center Y set the gauge’s position on the canvas, editable numerically in the current measurement unit. You can also move a gauge by dragging its frame header on the canvas.
Diam. Override
Section titled “Diam. Override”The Print/Export Diameter option on previous versions is replaced by the new Diam. Override option:
- By default (override off) gauges print and export at their true real-world size, 1:1.
- Turning Diam. Override on reveals a Diameter field to force an arbitrary output diameter, stretching the design to it. This is the old 1.x behavior.
