Welcome to the GaugeMaster Pro 2 Beta!

You have been invited to try the biggest update to GaugeMaster Pro since its launch, ahead of its official release. This page is the home for all the beta documentation. These pages are not listed on the manual’s sidebar, so make sure to bookmark this page and use the index below to explore all the changes.

Do not use the beta for production work

Beta builds are for evaluation only and must not be used for production work.

• Always keep backup copies of your production .gmpro files before opening them in the beta. GaugeMaster Pro 2 changes how files from previous versions are interpreted (see Measurement Units and the new Diam. Override option).
• Files saved with the beta may not open correctly on the current 1.x release.
• As with any beta, there may still be bugs that could affect your designs.

What’s new in GaugeMaster Pro 2

In short: multi-gauge canvases, real-world measurement units, gauge size presets, color swatches, dark mode, industry defaults, multi-copy printing and a full SVG export overhaul, plus many smaller improvements and fixes across the app.

What’s next

GaugeMaster Pro 2 is just the beginning, work is already under way on:

• Needle layers, adding fully styled needle graphics to your gauges.
• Animations, to animate your layers (think needle sweeps or clock time) and export self-contained animated SVG/HTML embeds.
• Canvas rulers, adding measurement rulers along the canvas edges.
• Off-center and rotated gauges, to offset a gauge’s dial from its physical center and rotate a whole gauge in 90° steps.
• Preset Wizard Unit Ranges, to speed up gauge creation for common unit ranges.
• Refrigerants Gauge Wizard, adding instant nonlinear scales for industry standard gases.
• Marine Depth Gauge Wizard, extending even further the Gauge Wizards.
