Refrigerant Gauge Wizard
Section titled “Refrigerant Gauge Wizard”The Gauge Wizards dropdown on the Layers Sidebar gains the Refrigerant Gauge Wizard, next to the Temperature and Pressure wizards. It generates the temperature scales of a refrigerant gauge for one or two gases over an existing pressure arc.
Wizard Preview
Section titled “Wizard Preview”While a wizard is open, its preview is drawn on the canvas over the selected gauge, at the gauge’s position and size, inside a wizard frame whose header names the wizard.
The gauge’s existing layers are drawn dimmed underneath when the Show Gauges switch is on, and hidden when it is off. The switch sits in the new Wizard View section at the top of every wizard panel. It starts off in the Temperature and Pressure wizards and on in the Refrigerant wizard, and it is not saved.
Scale Side
Section titled “Scale Side”The Gauge Wizard section of the Temperature and Pressure wizards gains a Scale Side choice, In or Out. For a single scale it sets whether the ticks and numbers sit on the inner or the outer side of the arc line. It is hidden while Dual Scale is on, since both sides are used. With Out, the scale still stays inside Outer Radius.
Outer Radius and Scale Edges
Section titled “Outer Radius and Scale Edges”The wizards’ radius field is now Outer Radius, in place of Inner Radius. It is the outer limit of everything the wizard generates, on preset and free gauges alike, so the generated layers never extend past it. On a gauge with a size preset it starts at the preset’s working radius. On a free gauge that already has printable layers it starts at their outer extent, with fonts and tick sizes scaled to match. On an empty free gauge it starts at the default working radius.
Directly under it, Inner Scale Edge and, with Dual Scale and Dual Arc both on, Outer Scale Edge give the radius of each scale’s arc line edge, the Inner Scale’s outer edge and the Outer Scale’s inner edge. These are the lines to match against an existing arc, and all the radius fields use the current measurement unit.
- Each edge field moves only its own edge. The two edges never cross and sit at most 50 px apart.
- Arc Spacing shows the gap between the two edges. Editing it moves the outer edge only.
- Styling edits, like font size, tick lengths or text spacing, never move a placed edge. The scale grows or shrinks around it, and Outer Radius follows to show the new outer limit.
- Editing Outer Radius, or switching Dual Scale, Dual Arc or Scale Side, places the edges again from the Outer Radius.
Field Order
Section titled “Field Order”The fields of the Gauge Wizard section follow a new order:
- Dual Scale, Scale Side, Main Scale and Dual Arc.
- Outer Radius, Inner Scale Edge, Outer Scale Edge and Arc Spacing.
- The angle fields, then Add To Canvas.
Mid Length and Mid Width
Section titled “Mid Length and Mid Width”The All Scales section gains Mid Length and Mid Width, between the Major and Minor pairs, setting the length and stroke width of the mid ticks. The mid tick dimensions are no longer calculated automatically from the major and minor ticks.
Field Limits and Precision
Section titled “Field Limits and Precision”Font Size and Major Length go down to 0.3 mm (1 px, 0.75 pt, 0.03 cm or 0.015 in), for small gauges.
The wizards’ length and angle fields use the same decimal precision as the matching layer fields, so a value read from a layer can be entered in a wizard unchanged.
