Beta Release Notes

← Back to the GaugeMaster Pro 2 Beta home

This page lists the changes on each GaugeMaster Pro 2 Beta build. For the release history of the current live version check the Release Notes page.

  • Fixed the Color Arc layer’s Image fill Center X/Y fields not displaying their values in the selected measurement unit, like every other position field does.

  • The Help popup title now shows the exact app version, so you can tell at a glance which build you are on. Very handy when reporting issues!
  • Fixed the tickmarks subsegment measurement fields still clipping their two decimal places in mm, as well as a stray thick border that could appear next to their scrollbar on Windows. The fields now show their full values on every platform.

  • Fixed new tickmark layers on a gauge without a size preset sometimes getting slightly-off default measures; all default dimensions now derive from the same sizing rules, on preset and Free gauges alike.

This build is the first Release Candidate for the public GaugeMaster Pro 2 launch: the feature set is now final, and the remaining work before release is stabilization and polish.

  • Fixed selecting a layer on a non-active gauge sometimes showing the Gauge settings pane instead of the Layer settings.
  • Fixed ghost entries in the undo history when pressing Esc repeatedly, so undo now records exactly the real changes. Esc also now closes any open slide-out panel consistently.
  • Fixed the Horiz. Mirror export/print option on gauges positioned away from the canvas origin.
  • Restored the Color Picker’s full-size sliders and the checkered transparency background under the opacity slider.

  • Fixed the Gauge Wizard placing the generated unit label at the gauge center on narrow gauges (arc angle below 180°), where it was hard to select and move; it now sits at a usable radius.
  • Widened the Gauge Wizard’s angle offset range (past -90°), so more unusual gauge layouts can be built.
  • Wizard-generated unit labels now use the standard (Full) vertical alignment, since they are plain text with no digits to cap-align.

  • Fixed the local system fonts not being available in the font picker on a fresh start, so they are preloaded again straight away.

  • Fixed exported SVG files not re-importing cleanly, as they no longer carry an internal id that clashed with the app’s own canvas when importing one of our exported SVGs back in.

  • Fixed Cmd/Ctrl + S not saving the canvas while a text field was focused.
